NINOY AQUINO
Bounded by the Abacan River to the north, Jao Compound to the east, the town proper to the west, and Barangay Pandan to the south, Marisol was created as the first subdivision of Angeles City in 1956. Marisol was named in memory of Maria Soledad Valdez, the wife of the late Don Emiliano J. Valdez, whose memorial T.B. Pavilion is situated at the heart of Marisol.Â
Most of the residents at the time of its creation were American servicemen and their dependents stationed at Clark Air Base, with some Filipino residents living alongside them in Marisol. Residential houses were leased mainly to American servicemen, while Filipinos were their counterparts. Security guards were hired to maintain order and security during that period.
