LOURDES SUR

Barangay Lourdes Sur, Angeles City was originally part of the larger Barrio Lourdes, named after Our Lady of Lourdes. Around the 1920s, it was subdivided into smaller barangays including Lourdes Sur. The influential Dayrit family, devotees of Our Lady of Lourdes, donated land for schools, a church, and community use. Key landmarks include the Apung Mamacalulu Shrine, making the barangay both a historical and religious center in Angeles City.
