MOBILIZING COMMUNITIES: REINFORCING BADACS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST DRUGS
Angeles City – The DILG Angeles City and the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) conducted a Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) meeting on April 4, 2025, at the ACPO Conference Hall, Barangay Sto. Domingo, to enhance collaboration and empower BADACs in combating illegal drugs.
During the meeting, DILG AC Director Yvette R. Cosio, represented by LGOO III Elridge D. Barbaso, discussed key sections of the guidelines on the functionality and effectiveness of BADACs.
Further, PLTCOL Gilmore A. Wasin, along with other ACPO personnel, joined barangay secretaries, elected officials, and barangay tanods in reinforcing anti-drug initiatives.
Following the meeting, participants expressed a renewed commitment and improved clarity on their roles in anti-drug operations, leading to more coordinated actions, accurate reporting, and stronger enforcement of community-based drug prevention initiatives.
