Do you ever wonder what your cat actually thinks about you? Maybe it sees you as nothing but someone who feeds them and scratches their belly, or maybe they think of you as a friend who just so happens to pay for literally everything. What if your cat thinks that they’re some kind of royalty and you’re nothing but their humble servant? I mean, it wouldn’t be surprising if they did considering the fact that cats are always demanding something or the other.
From the moment we bring these furry, purr-fact creatures into our house, they quickly figure out that our main purpose is to serve them. And they’re kind of right. I mean, we’re the ones who feed them, shelter them, and, most importantly, give them those head scratches that feel like feline heaven. Or maybe, your cat thinks of you in a completely different perspective. Maybe they actually respect you and are always at your beck and call. It may be very rare but its not unheard of. A tiny black kitten, Schnautzie, won an animal hero award after she saved her family from a deadly gas leak. Such a strong little thing, isn’t she?
Another possibility is that your cat sees you as a friend. It listens to all your issues and problems for hours, even though it hasn’t any idea of what you’re saying. It just lets you vent, even though they cant reply, they provide you with real comfort. I just know my heart would burst out of my chest if my tiny little kitten curled up next to me and simply just lay there, providing some sense of comfort and companionship. Basically, cats are awesome and you literally cannot hate them, even if you try to.
I remember begging my parents to get me a cat, them replying in typical Indian parent fashion, you’re already an animal, we don’t need another one’. Despite their earlier hatred for cats, they absolutely adore the little fur ball now. Maybe that’s what my parents were to my cat?
Someone they needed to impress. It seemed like as soon as I got her home, she made it a mission to make everyone love her, a mission she succeeded in. It was like it was a game to her, each person in my family being a different level and she needed to make each of us fall in love with her, one by one, to finally win the game.
We really have no idea what these fuzzy creatures think, don’t we? Maybe we’re a friend, or maybe a butler, or someone to impress, or maybe just a companion. Whatever it may be, one thing is for sure, they’re absolutely adorable creatures and deserve to be loved and cherished. In conclusion, you’ll always end up adoring a cat, no matter what it may think of you.
