In a world where online dating has become a natural phenomenon, Tinder's latest announcement has left many sceptical - the introduction of Tinder Exclusive Plus, priced at a jaw-dropping $499. Meanwhile, according to Tinder’s own reporting, 40% of gen Z users globally say they want long-term, committed relationships. They want love and connection. Will they find it on a dating app? The available data says, sadly, probably not. Tinder’s Exclusive Plus also offers a handy emoji consultant for $499. Yes, you heard that right. Your next dilemma about whether to send a smiley face or a thumbs-up can be resolved by a pricey in-app consultant.
Pertaining to the true Elixir of Love, if Tinder’s Exclusive Plus could truly guarantee love, it would be priceless. But it doesn't. So, before you swipe your credit card for $499, remember that love can't be bought—it can only be found.
