Bronze Buckle

Bronze buckle dated to 750-800 AD. It was found during an excavation in Västerhejde in 2016. The area contains a homestead with five houses and was likely in active use around 100 – 600 BC. It’s likely that the homestead was abandonded or was left but that people visited or were at the place after the fact, since the buckle is dated to a later time than when the homestead was in use.
