ACM India Industry Bootcamp on Digital Experiences

The goal of this Bootcamp is to equip professionals, faculty, and post-docs (not students) with the technical know how of Extended reality (Virtual Reality/Mixed Reality/Augmented Reality), Multi-sensory experiences, and advanced trends to jump start working in this exciting area. Extended Reality (XR) transforms our experience from 2D to 3D and multi-sensory experiences add additional dimensions such as sense of touch, smell, or even taste to take XR experience to a new level. Given the concept of Metaverse/Omniverse becoming more important than ever, it is the right time to equip yourselves with these technologies that are core to Metaverse/Omniverse applications.

The Bootcamp is organized by faculties from Accenture and IIT Madras. Accenture faculties, with their broad industrial experience gathered from clients, will help you understand how these technologies can be applied to real world use cases. IITM, with its experience in research and teaching in the area of XR and haptics, will help you become conversant on new trends in XR technology.

Organizers

This bootcamp is designed to equip you with basic technical knowledge of XR technologies, knowledge of platforms to develop XR applications, and hands on session on XR application development. This will also have modules on advanced topics, case studies, and demo sessions. At the end of this 4 half-day event, you will be able to explain difference among different XR technologies, how a basic XR application can be developed, how to choose the right technology for your use case, how can you add multi-sensory experience to your existing XR experience.
