Amy Johnson

Amy Johnson is a speculative fiction writer, editor, and designer; she’s also a scholar who studies unexpected uses of digital technologies, with focuses on government, impersonation, and parody. Her stories and poetry have appeared or are forthcoming in Diabolical Plots, Fantasy Magazine, and Lightspeed, among others. She edited the Drones & Dreams anthology (Digital Asia Hub 2019) and regularly leads projects that use speculative fiction techniques to explore the personal and societal consequences of technologies. Dr. Johnson is currently a 2022 Somerville Arts Council fellow in literature, a fellow at MIT’s Language and Technology Lab, and an affiliate and past fellow at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society.
