The theme song of 2003 film Holes, based on the Louis Sachar book of the same name. The song is sung from the perspective of the boys of D-Tent, lamenting life in their juvenile detention camp (falling into a long tradition of prison blues)

It's a more upbeat sound and very different from their other stuff. It doesn't have the depth of the others, sure, but it's a great addition to their repertoire and adds a lot of diversity to their sound. I think, when combined with the other songs on the album, it will fit right in.

I think the song is about how love can be painful, but it makes you feel extremely alive. He cares so much about who he loves that he's avoiding potholes and (irrationally) cursing the gov't for letting them exist and possibly disturb his love's sleep.

It is a song that has supported me so much emotionally and I have always loved it. Until a few months ago the style was completely changed, they did a Radio edit on spotify and directly eliminated the previous version. I don't know where else to go or who to ask to bring the song back to how it was before. It is one of the songs that I like the most and it fills me with all kinds of emotions. Any idea where to ask for it to go back to how it was before?

One primary concern in diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMSs) is how to establish a long-range magnetic order with low magnetic doping concentration to maintain the gate tunability of the host semiconductor, as well as to increase Curie temperature. Several van der Waals semiconductors have been investigated recently to demonstrate the magnetic order in DMSs. Nonetheless, a comprehensive understanding of the operative mechanism has remained elusive. Here, we demonstrate concrete evidence of the long-range magnetic order through itinerant spin-polarized holes in a monolayer V-doped WSe2 semiconductor. Hybridization between V impurity states and the host valence band has been investigated using scanning tunneling microscopy. Transport characteristics reveal the itinerant holes within the hybridized band and hysteresis in magnetoresistance; this clearly resembles the Zener-type description of the itinerant ferromagnetism as predicted by density functional theory calculations.

This song effing slaps. They didn't need to go that hard but they did. I want to jam to this song every day while on my commute to work. It brings so much GD nostalgia and gets me so hype. I'd be down with just putting the while official soundtrack on Spotify, but Dig It Up is a must. Please spam the Disney Company and Spotify to make this happen.

This song, written by Ewan MacColl, forms part of the narration in themusical documentarySinging the Fishing, one of the radio ballads produced by MacColl and Charles Parker for the B.B.C.The song describes the work of the herring fishermen who live along the eastcoast of England and Scotland.

Come all you gallant fishermen

That plough the stormy sea

The whole year round

On the fishing groundsĀ

Ā Of the Northern Minch and the Norway Deeps,

Ā On the banks and knolls of the North Sea holes,

Ā Where the herring shoals are found.

Hi Japhy one issue is when I use cap holes the top surface like the image shows u the surface only shows part of the surface and I fix it when I restart the Revit many times.

Basically, I just use list item to select and evaluate curves to make walls and door frames.

It's been almost 20 years since the film adaptation of Holes, starring Shia LaBeouf and Kleo Thomas, was released. But fans of the children's classic were given a special treat when Thomas, who played Zero (a.k.a. Hector Zeroni), performed the soundtrack's hit song, "Dig It," which was originally recorded by the D-Tent boys in the film.

"Surprised the audience and performed DIG IT for the first time EVER! What a moment! #holestiktok #hectorzeroni #stanleyyelnats #thatstoodamnbad #beourguest #beourguestnyc @beourguest_nyc," Thomas wrote on TikTok.

The riff that plays throughout the song is so simple yet so effective, and the choruses are way too catchy for their own good. This was one of the first Muse songs I ever heard because of its use on a FIFA soundtrack, so thanks FIFA for showing me the wonders of this band.

Purpose. To investigate the surgical outcomes of Viscoat assisted inverted internal limiting membrane (ILM) flap technique for large macular holes (MHs) associated with high myopia. Design. Prospective, interventional case series. Methods. Fifteen eyes of 15 patients with high myopia underwent vitrectomy and Viscoat assisted inverted ILM flap technique to treat MH without RD. Patients were followed up over 6 months. The main outcome measures were MH closure evaluated by optical coherence tomography (OCT) and best-corrected visual acuities (BCVAs). Result. MH closure was observed in all eyes (100%) following the initial surgery. Type 1 closure was observed in 13 eyes (86.7%); type 2 closure was observed in the remaining 2 eyes (13.3%). Compared to the preoperative baseline, the mean BCVA (logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution) improved significantly at 3 months and 6 months after surgery (P = 0.025, 0.019, resp.). The final BCVA improved in 10 eyes (66.7%), remained unchanged in 3 eyes (20.0%), and worsened in 2 eyes (13.3%). Conclusion. Vitrectomy combined with Viscoat assisted inverted ILM flap technique is an effective treatment for large MHs in highly myopic eyes. It may increase the success rate of the initial surgery and enhance the anatomical and functional outcomes.

Ah I read the news today, oh boy,

Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire

And though the holes were rather small,

They had to count them all

Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall.

"A Day in the Life" is the final song on The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album. Credited to Lennon-McCartney, the song comprises distinct sections written independently by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, with orchestral additions. While Lennon's lyrics were inspired by contemporary newspaper articles, McCartney's were reminiscent of his youth. The decisions to link sections of the song with orchestral glissandos and to end the song with a sustained piano chord were made only after the rest of the song had been recorded.

The supposed drug reference in the line "I'd love to turn you on" resulted in the song initially being banned from broadcast by the BBC. Since its original album release, "A Day in the Life" has been released as a B-side, and also on various compilation albums. It has been covered by other artists including Sting, Bobby Darin, Jose Feliciano, Wes Montgomery, the Fall, Neil Young, Tori Amos, Jeff Beck, the Bee Gees, Robyn Hitchcock, Chris Cornell, Phish and since 2008, by McCartney in his live performances. It was ranked the 28th greatest song of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.

This simple cosmic song may not be the only music these gravitational-wave emitters are capable of producing. At the American Physical Society April Meeting, held April 16 to 19 in Salt Lake City, Niels Warburton, a postdoctoral fellow at the MIT Kavli Institute, discussed simulations showing what kind of gravitational-wave "song" should be produced by collisions involving black holes that spin faster and are significantly larger than those that have been detected by LIGO.

Before black holes collide, they spiral around one another, getting closer and closer together. One black hole will circle the other until it reaches a point known as the lowest stable orbit, after which it "falls in" to its companion, Warburton explained.

"There are theoretical arguments that suggest that 99.8 percent is the most maximal speed you will find," Warburton said. "But until the detection of gravitational waves recently, people thought that the biggest black holes you would see would only be 15 solar masses. And the [black holes that LIGO] saw were double that: 30 solar masses."

The new work could also help explain how very massive black holes form, Warburton said, because an object's spin can indicate how it acquired its mass. If a massive black hole formed from smaller black holes merging together, it shouldn't have an extremely high spin rate, he said.

This is not so much an important quote as it is a recurring quote in the book. Although slightly changed by each person, these are the basic lyrics to the song that Madame Zeroni taught Elya Yelnats and that was subsequently passed down through generations until it reached Stanley and Zero. The lyrics of the song show that even wolves and birds wish that life was easier. It is a fitting song to be sung by the Yelnats and Zeroni families, two families that have had bad luck and hard lives.

Dance-type beat with alternative guitar. Inspired by a Norwegian mix of funk & disco and bears some similarity to "Do Something" by Britney Spears. Described by the band as Prince-like and inspired by Franz Ferdinand. Heavy and funky. The band was influenced by Belgian bands such as Millionaire or Evil Superstars. It's pure disco and "maybe that song came from being in New York for a while" declared Matthew Bellamy.

Matt revealed at New York's Webster Hall that this song was heavily based off of The Groove, likening The Groove to an early version of Supermassive Black Hole. With this in mind, perhaps the band revisited The Groove during recording sessions and were able to create Supermassive Black Hole out of their changes. A similar case happened with Futurism and Hysteria.[3]

The song was added to Guitar Hero 3 on 8th May 2008 as part of a track pack also including Exo-Politics and Stockholm Syndrome. "Supermassive Black Hole" is on the OST for the movie "Twilight", and It is also used in the baseball scene therein; (watch). The song is also used in the movie "Vampires Suck" which parodies Twilight and other vampire movies. The song can be heard in a little under ten minutes into the movie. The author (Stephenie Meyer) is a big fan of Muse's,and she stated in the acknowledgements of her book "New Moon": "And finally, thank you to the talented musicians who inspire me, particularly the band Muse - there are emotions, scenes and plot threads in this novel which were born from Muse songs and would not exist without their genius. 2351a5e196
