version 6 of Diego's Challenge was an attempt to fuse together elements from versions 4 and 5. i wanted to keep the level design of version 4, with its lengthy levels and particular course layout, but i also wanted the visuals of version 5. the result was pretty underwhelming, to be brutally honest. what made things worse was that this version wasn't even completed past the second level—lynette's stage is really buggy and at one point the course layout is just way too corrupted and won't let you advance any further into the game, even with cheats.
same title screen as version 5
graphics mostly from version 4
blue map
the bonus room has returned
tutorial got revamped too
still have to scroll to read it
backyard looks like the old one
much less vibrant, but similar
annoying message boxes again
remaking this game is getting old
not as colorful as version 5
i really hate these messages
still the same bun
not much different honestly
might get rid of the messages
chocolate looks yummy
there was an ugly glitch right before here
but not as ugly as this
or this
good lord this game was a disaster on all fronts. if i ever finish this game, i'll be sure to keep version 4 and the final version completely distinct. i really want to go for something like version 5, just without the horrible slowdown. sadly, my inability to finish the things i start is starting to get really annoying, and it kind of dashes any hope i have of actually getting this hack finished...
