version 3 of this game basically takes the challenge out of diego's challenge. contrary to its version number, i actually created this version immediately after version 1 was completed. however, at that time i made it, i wasn't really keeping track of different "version numbers" of the same hack, so this hack's real codename is hack06.
completed in july 2014, it's essentially a handicapped version of the game, with many of the difficult elements of the first version removed. there's only one map in the game now, meaning there's only the main 10 levels.
the only reason i even did this was because the game was too hard for my family to play.

the background no longer spins around violently and the enemies aren't outlines anymore
longer vines to hold on to, and if that wasn't enough, here's a floor
now takes 5 hits to kill as opposed to 10
oh and the mushrooms he spawns are now poison mushrooms

a 7-up moon. worst prize ever
this is the opposite extreme in terms of difficulty. now the game is ridiculously easy. why can't i do anything right?
