I am Associate Professor or Economics at the University of La Rioja and a researcher specialising in the water-energy nexus from a historical-economic perspective. My work examines how water has shaped the Spanish electricity sector, a question with growing relevance for an arid country navigating climate change and the energy transition.

I have published in journals such as Ecological Economics, Water Policy or Water Resources and Economics, and have presented my research at numerous national and international conferences. I am a member of the RISE Group (Research and Innovation in Sustainable Economy) ar the University of La Rioja, as well as the Campus Iberus Action Groups HECOS (Economic History and Sustainability) and FinSoS (Social, Solidarity and Sustainable Finance).
