Diederik van Engelenburg

I am passionate about many aspects of probability theory, mostly related to statistical mechanics. To be more precise, my research includes: random walks and the geometry of random (planar) maps, height functions, spin systems and percolation theory.

Currently, I am a PhD student at the University of Vienna, supervised jointly by Nathanaël Berestycki and Marcin Lis. In 2020, I obtained my Master degree at the University of Amsterdam (under supervision of Rob van den Berg). Before, I was a bachelor student in Mathematics at the TUDelft.
