Chandni Chowk to China: A Bollywood Kung Fu Comedy

Chandni Chowk to China is a 2009 Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Nikhil Advani and starring Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Mithun Chakraborty and Ranvir Shorey. The film is loosely based on the 1984 Hollywood film The Cannonball Run and follows the adventures of a lowly cook from Delhi who is mistaken for the reincarnation of a legendary Chinese warrior. The film was the first Bollywood production to be shot in China and also featured martial arts choreography by the renowned stuntman Huen Chiu Ku, who has worked with Jackie Chan and Jet Li.

The film was released on January 16, 2009 and received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. Some praised the film's humor, action sequences and performances, while others criticized the film's plot, direction and length. The film was also a commercial failure at the box office, earning only 65 crore (US$9.1 million) against a budget of 80 crore (US$11 million). However, the film has gained a cult following among fans of Bollywood and kung fu cinema, and is considered one of the most ambitious and unique crossover films in Indian cinema history.
