Bio

I am an assistant professor at Tilburg University in the Department of Social Psychology. I was previously a postdoc at the University of Amsterdam in CREED collaborating with Dr. Joël van der Weele. I completed my Ph.D. in neurobiology (with a certificate in cognitive neuroscience) at Duke University working in the lab of Dr. Scott Huettel and collaborating with Dr. Rachel Kranton. 

I study decision-making at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and economics. I use eye tracking and computational modeling to understand how attention plays a role in choice processes. I am interested in applying a mechanistic understanding of decision-making to inform evidence-based policies that address societal issues. I am particularly interested in choices with ethical implications, including inequality and redistribution, ethical certifications in purchasing, and discrimination.
