I was told that there would be network issues, stress tests, infinite queue times that exit you out after a few minutes of waiting. I read countless posts about how the whole point of this weekend was to overload the servers such that they can test how the game might function under the worst-case scenarios. The Diablo 4 Server Slam will be an event that tests the durability of Blizzard's servers. The event will go from May 12 at 12 p.m. PDT to May 14 at 12 p.m. PDT. It will also involve multiple platforms such as Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

No files will be removed. Dont be scared to lose your trophy if you uninstal. Its all saved at the blizzard servers in their cloud. You can uninstal without any trouble. You gain the pup and the horse at launch

Following the successful DLSS 2-enhanced Open Beta, Blizzard invites you to stress test their servers in the Diablo IV Server Slam, occurring May 12th to 14th. Players will have one more chance to earn special cosmetic rewards, including the Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic and a new Mount Trophy.

Diablo 4 has already had a closed and open beta, but aspiring hack-and-slashers will get one last chance to test the action-RPG sequel before it launches in June. From May 12th to May 14th, Blizzard are hosting a "Server Slam", in which one and all are invited to test "the durability of our servers."

The Diablo 4 Server Slam beta is essentially another run of the Diablo 4 Open Beta that concluded in late March, though there are a few differences between it and past tests that we'll go over in the section below. As you can probably tell from its name, Blizzard's goal with the Server Slam is to torch Diablo 4's servers with one final stress test before the game launches officially.

In order to give players the chance to install the Diablo 4 Server Slam build ahead of the servers going live, Blizzard is making it possible to preload it ahead of its start time. This will ensure that fans can jump right in without having to wait for a download to finish, which is especially valuable for folks with slower internet connections.

The server slam weekend kicks off at 8pm UK time on 12th May and ends 8pm UK time on 14th May, and is available on PC, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, with couch co-op for consoles and cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms.

The aim of the Diablo 4 Server Slam is to stress test the servers. The game has already gone gold, and the Server Slam will include a number of changes that the devs have implemented following beta feedback. So there's really no reason to not get involved this weekend, especially as players will get the same freebies that were offered in the Diablo 4 beta rewards.

yet uninstalling for some reason still leaves 120 mb of garbage in the install folder for some reason so you have to manually delete that. Then no need to worry about installing the main game as either you refunded due to them ruining the necromancer making it from the best class in the beta to the worst or ou are smart like me and arent buying it in the first place. Played all weekend on the open beta and wasnt really impressed. I mean it was ok despite expected beta issues but it wasnt anything ground breaking. And now to have them ruin your favorite class to over runing and seeing how they havent acted on any other beta feed back i lpayed the sever slam for 10 minutes and was like yea..... its gonna be years before it feels good to play

For some Blizzard Beta or PTR installs I also had to clean out orphaned uninstall entries from Windows with regedit. If you removed a game, and it still appears in Add/Remove Progrems and failed to uninstall cleanly, you find the entries here:

Also it is recommended to backup the registry node to a .reg file before deleting stuff in the Windows registry.

They fixed Necromancer in a hotfix. Granted, it was a little late in the weekend when they did fix it. I played necromancer and it was tough before the fix (didn't try after).

This weekend the Diablo 4 servers will be tested one last time with the Server Slam event. Everyone can enter the world of Sanctuary from May 12th through the 14th. During that time you can obtain the rewards from the Open Beta in March as well as a new cosmetic, the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy. This trophy is the reward for defeating the World Boss Ashava with a Level 20 character! This is no easy task, so the following Ashava builds and tips will give you a much greater chance in achieving it!
