A. User Authentication & Account Data
Phone Number & OTP: We collect your mobile phone number for secure One-Time Password (OTP) authentication to verify identity and maintain account security.
Guest Access: Users may explore basic features as a "Guest" without providing personal authentication details.
Profile Details: Name, group name, city, or other location preferences provided voluntarily during account setup or usage.
B. Location Data (Prominent Disclosure) Our app collects precise and approximate location data to display Yatris (pilgrims) and Shivirs (camps) on interactive maps for public route assistance, community awareness, and safety.
Interval-Based Tracking: Live location tracking operates at configurable intervals (e.g., 30 seconds, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour) rather than a constant stream to optimize device battery consumption.
Public Visibility: Shared locations of Yatris and Shivir camps are rendered visually on the Google Maps interface for connected users and pilgrims.
C. Live Streaming & Media Permissions
Live Stream Links: Collected when users explicitly broadcast and share live stream URL links of their journey.
Device Permissions: Camera and Microphone permissions are requested exclusively when you initiate live video or audio streaming.
D. User Content & App Usage
Comments, favorite places, route markings, and interaction data submitted within the app.
We utilize the collected data strictly for operational and safety purposes:
To authenticate accounts via OTP logins and enable Guest browsing.
To dynamically show pilgrim locations and camp sites on Google Maps.
To stream live video feeds shared by Yatris along their travel routes.
To provide power-saving interval options for extended battery life during long journeys.
To moderate public comments and prevent abusive or illegal content.
We do NOT sell, rent, or monetize your personal data. Data is shared solely with trusted service providers essential for application functionality:
Google Maps API: For displaying interactive maps, markers, and routing.
Firebase Authentication & Cloud Firestore: For encrypted cloud storage, database sync, and user login processing.
Currently, the app does NOT collect payment credentials or process financial donations. If donation support features for Shivirs/camps are added in future updates, all financial transactions will be managed through secure, Google Play Store-compliant payment gateways.
We implement industry-standard technical measures (such as TLS/HTTPS encryption in transit) to protect your data against unauthorized access. We retain personal data as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide app features.
Users have full rights to request the deletion of their account and associated data at any time.
