DharmaGuru ("we", "our", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app handles and why.
Information you provide: DharmaGuru does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, phone number, email address, or postal address to use the app's devotional content.
Information collected automatically: The app uses Google Firebase services. Through these services, the following may be collected:
Anonymous device identifiers
App version, device model, and operating system version
General region or country (derived from IP address, not precise GPS location)
Crash reports and error logs
Basic usage data, such as which sections of the app are opened
We do not collect your precise location. We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or files.
This information is used only to:
Keep the app working correctly and fix crashes
Understand which content is useful so we can improve it
Deliver the correct daily content for your date and region
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.
DharmaGuru uses:
Google Firebase (Firestore, Analytics) — for content delivery and app stability. Firebase's privacy practices: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
External temple links — The "Live Darshan" section opens official temple streams hosted on third-party platforms. These links open outside DharmaGuru, in your browser or the relevant app. Those platforms have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
DharmaGuru is a general devotional app intended for adult users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
DharmaGuru does not contain ads and does not offer in-app purchases.
Anonymous usage and crash data is retained by Firebase according to Google's standard retention periods. Since we do not hold accounts or personal profiles, there is no personal account to delete.

We rely on Google Firebase's security infrastructure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always show the current version.
