RWB Porsche 930 [JJY69]

Hi folks, I guess it’s time to share a few words from myself regarding this sale of the orange RWB by Mattel Creations.

I was aware that its quantity is really low, even lower than the F40 on the drop, so the chance to get one is miserable. But. I came prepared.

Days before the drop I’ve updated the paying cards in my Shopify account (this is one of the quick ways to perform a payment to save some seconds), checked my both accounts (yes, I have two accounts as many of you) that they are able to order something from the Mattel web store (my mistake was that I didn’t check that those cards could pay), so I think I was prepared.

On the drop time for the first account 2 orange items jumped into the cart and I had a 4 min queue after solving the puzzle. The second account goes after and there I had to solve the puzzle 2 times (this was a first signal) and wait in the line for 7 minutes.

4 minutes stay as 4 hours, you all know that, ha-ha. And magic — I’m at the payout screen, what could go wrong?

Anything, and for me it was two things. At the beginning my payment via Shopify linked cards was not proceeded, it’s just trying to pay, showing the running spinner to me and then — error message, payment can’t be made. What the hell is going on? In the morning drop for Europe area people were yelling about issues with Revolut payments.

On each unsuccessful payment you are losing important seconds while the item is in stock, so that’s not a good feeling.

Final try on the last available card for payment, and I’m getting a screen notice that the order limit was changed from 2 to 1 and I can only try to order one item instead of two. Ok, what can I do, so one more try to click the Pay button …

Surprisingly this payment for one item works well, money went away from my wallet.

And what about the second account? Queue for 7 minutes is too long for such limited items, so it was sold out before I’ve reached the end of the queue.

Short summary

Never stop trying! Even for such crazy drops you still have a chance.

Never stop expecting something new from Mattel:

• Issues with payments, but this is mostly Shopify problems.

• Changing the allowed items to order from 2 to 1 during the checkout process. That one is something special here.

I’m really sorry for all who didn’t get lucky enough to get this orange 930 during the drop.

Also I’m really happy for OD owners, coz they really save time and what is more important — mental health not taking part in this show.

p.s. I guess that OD will be more popular next year, even if the price for it strikes up.
