Dex Monitor (com.happy2020.glucosemonitor) is an independent app that displays glucose information from Dexcom Share. It is not an official Dexcom app.
DATA YOU PROVIDE
You enter a Dexcom account name and password. The app stores these credentials and a session identifier in its private storage on your device for sign-in and automatic refresh. The credential file is excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer. The app sends the credentials and session identifier directly to the selected Dexcom Share service over HTTPS and receives glucose readings. Readings are used for the monitor, graph, widget, notifications and configured alerts. The developer does not operate a separate server that receives your Dexcom credentials or glucose readings. Display preferences, monitoring settings, alert thresholds and recent display data may remain on your device.
ADS AND CONSENT
The app includes Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform. Where ads are shown, Google's SDK may collect an IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or advertising identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. SHARING AND RETENTION
Dexcom receives account information needed to authenticate and provide readings. Google receives data handled by its advertising and consent services. The developer does not sell your glucose readings. Local credentials are removed when you sign out or clear app storage. Uninstalling the app removes its local data. Data retained by Dexcom or Google is governed by their respective policies and account controls.
SECURITY AND CHOICES
Connections to Dexcom Share use HTTPS. Google states that data collected by Google Mobile Ads is encrypted in transit. Credentials are stored in Android app-private storage; this policy does not claim that they are encrypted on the device. You can stop background monitoring in app settings, manage ad privacy choices where offered, sign out, or remove local data through Android settings.
