God's got it, He's so Good
Hello Everyone,
As many of you know the Sterling Fest was last week and there was a local author's book sale and signing. Sadly, I signed up a little late and all the spots were already full. I was put on a waiting list and prayed that a spot would open up. My prayers paid off because, as I was walking out of writing camp, I got a call. A table had opened up and I had less than 24 hour notice to get my table set up and ready to sell my book. I thought it was quite ironic that this happened shortly after I wrote a devotional about losing control, because I truly lost control and had to rely on some of the amazing people God has put in my life to supply me with books.
After a crazy night of rounding up as many books as I could, I went to sleep and sold out the next day! I had the perfect amount of books. God is so good. I did, however, run out of QR codes. Again God is so good, my table was right were everyone entered, so it was very visible and I met so many great people in my community. During slow periods, I walked around to the many table to talk with other local authors. I am glad to say, I meet some amazing people. One of the author even wanted to mentor me. I wanted to buy her book in return, but it was meant to help toddlers adjust to preschool. She even had some amazing puppets, but I sadly could not find an excuse to buy one. Her store is linked here. Another amazing author was Mr. B. His books where all short and sweet, true stories from his childhood. My favorite was the Alligator Man. He too is a Christian. He used to be a worship singer but he is in the process of moving and is unsure where his next church will be. I'm sorry I didn't post about this before hand; last week was a busy one.
Before I forget, I'd like to say welcome to all the new people the Sterling Fest brought in, I'm so glad to have you.
Talk to you Tuesday,
Abigail Sandison
