The game itself is just a simple flappy bird spinoff made using ActionScript 3.0 over the course of a weekend. This project was a collaboration with a friend of mine, who studies web development, in an effort to create a working online high scores system.
After successfully getting our online score tracker to work, I quickly optimized it and created a system that could easily be ported to my other flash games.

This is something I had to make for my Flash / ActionScript class. Nothing too fancy, just your average collapsing blocks game. I later updated it to include the Online High Scores system from the Helicopter Game.

Early on, in one of my first college classes, we were asked to create a platformer in about two weeks using GameMaker. Since it was one of the first projects we were ever assigned, it was very barebones, and lacked the quality of a more complete, professional game. After opening up the project two years later, I decided to take an hour and re-create the entire game from scratch, just to see how much I’ve improved. Although it’s still just a simple prototype, I’m quite happy with the result!
If you want to see the before and after, here's a video!
And here's a download link so you can play it for yourself!
This was a spur of the moment 'proof of concept' project. I decided to tear into the engine I've been working on for the Legend of Syro and see what else I could make it do. The result is a pvp style strategy game.
As of right now this is only a proof of concept and a lot of key features are missing. I hope to return to it one day and finish it off, but for now, most of my time is spent on my strategy RPG.
Here's a video showing off the gameplay:
This is another spur of the moment project using GameMaker in the course of a few hours. Gauntlet 4 was one of my favorite games growing up, so I decided to take a crack at re-making one of the dragon boss fights. This project relies heavily on trigonometry, as the dragon’s head follows the player in an arc shooting fire which spreads based on that location.
Here's a video showing off the result:

Merlin’s Revenge was one of the first online flash games I ever played almost 15 years ago. Upon recently re-visiting TheMetalBox to play this game again, I was saddened to see that it no longer runs on modern browsers, as the Shockwave player constantly crashes every 30 seconds. As such, I decided to re-create the game using GameMaker Studio.
Much like the Dragon Fight, this game relies heavily on trigonometry as the enemies have to move towards the player based on speed, and angle, and enemies are blasted away based on how close they are to Merlin’s Spells.
Although this is still just a demo, I plan on turning this into a full game once I come up with a story that is both fun, and written in a way that captures the essence of the original work by Steve Riddett.
