Pain need not cause fear...
Our pain and fear is a result of our implicit awareness of our limitedness. If we can keep learning when these are present, when the pain subsides, there is immense benefit. In that way, pain actually empowers!
It is usual to think that pain ought to be avoided. While it makes sense to prevent and manage pain as best as possible, we should try and remember that pain heralds empowerment if we can keep learning when we are distressed. That makes the experience of pain meaningful. Pain can not be fully prevented and when it does arise, we should renew our efforts to keep on learning, no matter what it takes.
The mind-body, circumstances and environments change, but insight once truly embedded exerts lasting influence on the direction we take...
