Hi, I am Devansh Pandey. I am a second year  Cell and Molecular Biology PhD candidate in the Interdisciplinary Life Sciences Graduate Program at the University of Texas at Austin. I am advised by Dr. Vagheesh Narasimhan.
I was born and bought up India, where I earned my B.Tech and M.Tech in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur.
In Fall 2021, I moved to Austin and have since been engaged in combining human genetics, evolution, and deep learning in my work.
My research aims to craft multimodal disease prediction models that utilize medical imaging, health records, and both phenotypic and genetic data. I also work on DNA language models.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing badminton, strolling around Lake Austin, and diving into anime during my downtime.
