about deus lee
Kent Hadnot II, better known as "Deus Lee," is a Houston-born artist and entrepreneur whose lyrical talent and cultural versatility are nothing short of extraordinary. Like Bruce Lee, Deus Lee's flow is like water—adaptable, fluid, and powerful. A 31-year-old creative force, Deus Lee began crafting his rhymes in grade school and made his mark as "the man on campus" when he released his first two mixtapes, *The Project* and *The Project II*, while attending the University of Incarnate Word on a full academic and football scholarship.
After graduating, Deus Lee co-founded PPL PXRTY, an entertainment group through which he hosted and headlined seven showcases over five years. He has since released two more albums, *What's Done in the Dark* and *Enter the Dragon*, along with several impactful singles, including "Oblate," "Come N’ Go," "Shanghai," "Be Water," "XXX," and "Give It To God," which are available across all platforms. With ambitions of collaborating and performing with artists worldwide, Deus Lee continues to push the boundaries of his craft.
Fusing his Jamaican heritage, East Texas country slang, and Houstonian culture, Deus Lee has pioneered a unique, explosive sound that effortlessly crosses genres. His phenomenal lyrical skill, revolutionary mindset, and intellectual prowess have birthed the "Rude Boy" the world has been waiting for. A brown belt in Shotokan Karate, Deus Lee also extends his brand to a comic strip character, using street smarts, spirituality, and music to uplift and empower his community.
