Steve James (he/him)

Steve is a lifelong Michigander who began his political career in labor organizing and campaign work. He spent time as a member of Congressional and State Legislative staffs eventually becoming the Political Director for a statewide Labor Union before joining MI United / MI People's Campaign in 2020. He has over a decade of organizing and political experience and is very happy to be a part of the organizing revival in Michigan. He lives in Lansing with his wife (Kristi) and their dog (Pickles).

Q: What is something you love about where you live?

A: As an Ingham County Parks Commissioner, one of his favorite things about living in Lansing is the beautiful County Parks and the overwhelming community that exists.
