Kimberly has worked in the civil rights policy industry for 8 years, gaining experience in legislative drafting and analysis, issue based campaign strategy, and government relations. As a seasoned Senior Policy Counsel, she is passionate about advancing reforms in the criminal legal system and dismantling systemic and institutional racism. In addition to her work at the ACLU, she is also a professor of law at Wayne State University Law School, and a Commissioner for the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission. Outside of the office, Kimberly enjoys trying new restaurants with friends, spending time with her family, and playing with her two dogs, Romeo and Milo.
