Q: What is something you love about where you live?

A: I love the people and the culture, hands down. The warmth and charm here reminds me of down South with just a bit more to do, haha. I love being able to access all different parts of living in Detroit. The food (and its diversity), the museums, the music scene from all generations, the style (or drip as the younger generation refers to it as), its proximity to a whole other country (Canada—which as Detroiters, we take for granted in comparison to the majority of the States) and I can't forget about the summers in Detroit which keeps the city a buzz. All this charm wrapped into a city that continues to lead in resiliency and a never say never attitude. It's hard not to be proud of the city and take it wherever no matter where I go!
