Arabic Professor, Musician, Co-Director

Tazeen is a performing artist, a tenured instructor at Henry Ford College and the Co-Director of GAMA Detroit (Gathering All Muslim Artists). She loves helping people make meaningful connections, feel a sense of belonging, and pursue their passions. She has spent the majority of her career in Academia, gaining experiences in areas such as flipped learning, educational equity, and online learning. While teaching and community organizing are her primary focuses, Tazeen also enjoys creating and performing music and cooking for her loved ones.

Q: What is something you love about where you live?

A: I live on the Eastside of Detroit and I love how much access to arts and culture there is in Detroit in a multitude of genres.
