Taylor Barrow

Taylor is a medical student at Wayne State School of Medicine and is passionate about Black Detroiters' past, present, and future health care. She has spent the majority of her career in the organizing and social work industries, gaining experiences in areas such as mental health, clinical work, and environmental advocacy. While being a medical student is her primary job function by day, Taylor also enjoys RuPaul's Drag race and dancing to Beyonce's new album, Renaissance; stream now :).

Q: What is something you love about where you live?

A: My favorite part about living in Detroit is how uniquely wonderful the city environment is. I live next to a lot where I keep my garden and serves as a space for my dog ,Nelson, to play. I have porch that is lovely for drinks with neighbors in the summer. Finally I can also have the downtown big city experience with just a 5 minute drive. Detroit is everything.
