Peggy Harp

Racial Equity Fellow — DEAL 7 | 2022-23 Cohort

Peggy Harp has worked in the natural food industry for 25 years, gaining experience in retail operations, food cooperatives, gardening and the healing power of food. As a seasoned advocate for personal and community health, she is passionate about advancing the Detroit People's Food Co-op and exploring alternatives to capitalism. In addition to supporting access to quality food for all, she is also involved in the Detroit People's Food Co-op's Anti-Racist Work Group and currently volunteers as the office manager. Outside of the office, Peggy enjoys potatoes, ice skating, and the sound of moving water.

A: I live in Ferndale and love that it is a walkable neighborhood.
