Q: What is something you love about where you live?
A: I love Detroit's roots in Hip Hop culture. Not only did we introduce the world to legends like Dilla, Eminem, Kash Doll, Big Sean, and of course various Motown legends, but I take pride in the fact that we have local greats like jessica Care moore, Nick Speed, Sydney James, Piper Carter, Ilajide, Sheefy McFly, Joel Fluent Greene, DJ Sicari and Black Milk. I could go on and on. Our city is so rich and full of artists who represent every single aspect of Hip Hop from music, to visual art, to spreading social and political awareness, to spoken word. Detroit is home to a nation of Hip Hop greats and it's a beautiful thing.
