Shayla Zimmerman

Shayla Zimmerman is the Director of Operations at Pure Heart Foundation. She loves empowering communities through data, civic engagement, and innovation.

She has spent the majority of her career in the nonprofit and mental health industry, gaining experiences in areas such as data development, technology, and authentic conversations.

While directing the organization is her primary job function by day, Shayla also enjoys walking her dog, Izzy, and reading historical fiction books.

Q: What is something you love about where you live?

A: I live in the North End neighborhood in Detroit, and I love my neighbors and walking to the urban farm and park down the street.
