Myaia Holmes

Racial Equity Fellow — 2021 Cohort | DEAL 6

Myaia (My-uh) Holmes is the Manager of Resources at the National Network for Arab American Communities, the Executive Director of the Metro Detroit Mutual Aid, and the Michigan Regional Organizer with the National Domestic Workers Alliances.

They love helping people build stronger more resilient communities outside of the state, stronger community leadership, and critical thinkers. They have spent the majority of their career in the non-profit management industry, gaining experiences in areas such as team, community, and leadership training development.

While organizing, strategizing, and building organizational power is their primary job function by day, Myaia also enjoys dog training and reading theory.

Q: What is something you love about where you live?

A: My favorite thing about Detroit is the palpable resiliency.
