Director, Adult College Completion
Michelle is the Director of Adult College Completion at Detroit Drives Degrees, Detroit Regional Chamber.
Michelle loves helping people shift their social and economic trajectory through education. She has spent most of her career in higher education, gaining experience in areas of individual economic mobility, equity, inclusion, and understanding the dynamics of oppression at the individual, group, and systems levels through the lens of race and racism.
Michelle previously worked in higher education for twenty-three years and is currently working to support the adult learner in the Detroit Metro Region interested in returning to college or attending for the first time. She is a strong proponent of education, believing that education is the great equalizer in shifting one’s economic and social trajectory. Michelle is a US Army veteran and currently completing her Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Higher Education.
She also enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.

Q: What is something you love about where you live?
A: I enjoy living in and around the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area and its wonderful green spaces.
