Instructor introduction
Hello everyone. I am “Teacher Golf”, Krittika Inta from RMUTL, Thailand. I will be one of your Design Thinking Facilitators in this project. Over the past 5 years, I have had experiences in teaching and using Design Thinking in various social innovation projects as well as being a guest speaker in several organizations such as schools, colleges, universities, business sectors, government and non-government organization. I would like to learn and share my experiences with all of you so that we could learn from each other one another to develop our courses and education in the future. As I and my team have worked with multidisciplinary team of teachers and students from Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, Philippines, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan and so on. So, we are quite familiar and love to work and learn from people in different cultures, places and circumstances. In addition, my team and I also conducted Design Thinking camps for several years, so I am looking forward to sharing and learning from you. Thank you.
Unit course outline
This unit will focus on “Brain Storming Technique through Design Thinking process” and “Using 2x2 Matrix to choose the best idea”. In Ideate stage, students will generate a large volume of ideas, develop these ideas into concepts and select one final concept to work on.
Unit course characteristics
Ideate is about creating a range of ideas and concepts around relevant research findings using suitable ideation tools, then evaluate them and select the best possible design concept. The purposes in this unit are to illustrate brainstorming must-haves, illustrate how to build on each other’s ideas and explain how ideas are developed into concepts. Students will learn about Brain Storming Technique through Design Thinking process and How to use Matrix Diagram to choose the best ideas to develop.
