Unit course outline
This unit will focus on the last process of the Empathy stage, including data clustering, generating insights, identifying deep needs, and designing persona. Firstly, data clustering process will be presented and exemplified, followed by how to identify insights. Then, the examples of good insights and need statements will be discussed. Finally, examples of persona design will be presented and discussed.
Unit course characteristics
In this unit, students will learn to cluster the data from the interview and observation. They will also practice analyzing and interpreting the data to identify insights and deep need. In addition, they will learn about the components of persona and finally be able to design the persona.
Unit course objectives
1. Understanding the data clustering process.
2. Analyzing and interpreting the data.
3. Identifying insights and deep need statements.
4. Designing persona.
