This Privacy Policy explains how Hidden Devices Detector collects, uses, handles, and protects user information when you access or interact with our mobile application. By installing and using Hidden Devices Detector, you agree to the data collection and usage practices described in this document.
Hidden Devices Detector is engineered to assist users in identifying potential hidden electronics, concealed cameras, audio microphones, magnetic field anomalies, Bluetooth transmitters, or local network-connected devices by utilizing your mobile device’s supported hardware sensors and system permissions.
The Application delivers detection assistance based on real-time signal analysis and device sensor output. Detection performance may vary according to hardware capabilities, environmental factors, sensor sensitivity, and signal interference. The Application provides estimation assistance and does not guarantee absolute, continuous, or professional-grade physical security detection.
Depending on the tools and functionalities engaged within the app, Hidden Devices Detector may access or process the following data streams:
a. Camera Access
Camera permissions may be requested to enable visual scanning utilities, such as detecting infrared light signatures, lens reflections, or suspicious camera modules.
Usage: Camera feeds are processed strictly for real-time user-initiated scanning. We do not secretly record video, capture background photos, process facial recognition, or extract media files without user initiation.
b. Device Hardware Sensors
The Application accesses native hardware sensors (such as the magnetometer, gyroscope, accelerometer, or digital compass) when supported by your device.
Usage: Sensor data is read in real time to calculate magnetic flux, movement, directional shifts, and electromagnetic variations. Sensor inputs are strictly processed for app functionality and are never monetized or shared for marketing purposes.
c. Bluetooth & Nearby Device Connections
Permissions for Bluetooth or Nearby Devices may be requested to discover active wireless signals in your vicinity.
Usage: Helps identify surrounding electronics such as wireless webcams, Bluetooth speakers, smart accessories, or audio transmitters. The Application never pairs with, alters, controls, accesses internal data on, or interferes with nearby wireless hardware.
d. Wi-Fi & Local Network Data
To analyze devices connected to your current Wi-Fi network, the Application may read network properties including:
Network Name (SSID)
Connected device hostnames
Local IP and MAC addresses (where permitted)
Device category and connection state
Usage: This data is used solely to generate network node lists and assist in identifying unrecognized connected hardware.
e. Location Permission
On specific Android OS versions, system architecture requires location permission to perform Wi-Fi or Bluetooth network environment scans.
Usage: If granted, location authorization is utilized exclusively to execute wireless scans. We do not track real-time physical movements or construct behavioral location profiles.
f. Technical & System Diagnostics
We collect non-identifiable technical metrics to ensure operational stability, including:
Smartphone model and system specs
Operating System version
Application version details
System crash reports and performance telemetry
g. In-App Usage Metrics
Aggregated usage metrics may be analyzed, such as tool engagement rates, scan frequency, feature interaction events, and error logs, to optimize application performance and interface responsiveness.
h. Advertising Telemetry
If advertising modules are active, third-party ad partners may process device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), approximate regional location, and ad interaction metrics to deliver relevant advertisements, manage frequency capping, and prevent fraudulent ad traffic.
Data accessed or processed by Hidden Devices Detector is utilized for the following core operations:
Delivering core detection utilities (magnetic, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and visual camera scans)
Displaying real-time sensor metrics and network device lists
Enhancing detection precision, stability, and bug resolution
Managing optional premium subscriptions or in-app features
Serving non-intrusive advertisements (where applicable)
Maintaining application integrity, safety, and compliance with Google Play Developer Policies
Camera and sensor feeds are utilized strictly for user-facing detection features. The Application does not execute secret background recordings of audio, video, or screen content. It does not gather biometric identities, security credentials, stored personal documents, or private device storage content.
Disclaimer: Detection feedback relies entirely on device hardware sensitivity and should be treated as diagnostic assistance rather than guaranteed security auditing.
Wireless scans occur strictly when activated manually by the user with the required permissions enabled.
The App does not access private messages, personal files, passwords, or data stored on external nearby devices.
The App does not bypass network encryption, hack access points, modify third-party hardware settings, or disrupt external communication services.
We do not sell personal or sensitive user data to third parties.
Limited technical and diagnostic data may be shared with trusted third-party service infrastructure to support core functionality, monetization, crash reporting, and legal compliance. Integrated services may include:
Google Play Services
Google AdMob (and associated ad networks)
Google Firebase Analytics
Google Firebase Crashlytics
These providers process data independently under their respective privacy policies.
Hidden Devices Detector may request the following system authorizations:
Camera Permission: Enables optical scanning for lens reflections and IR signatures.
Bluetooth / Nearby Devices Permission: Enables discovery of active local Bluetooth hardware.
Wi-Fi / Network State Permission: Allows identification of devices connected to the local Wi-Fi router.
Location Permission: Required by Android system architecture to execute wireless signal scanning.
Internet Permission: Enables ad serving, analytical reporting, crash logging, and subscription verification.
Notification Permission: Delivers operational scan updates, status alerts, and app reminders.
Note: You can modify or revoke permissions at any time via your device's System Settings, though certain scanning features may become unavailable.
Data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill app operations, satisfy legal obligations, resolve technical errors, and uphold policy enforcement.
Scan outputs, local settings, and history logs are kept locally on your mobile hardware unless cloud services are explicitly enabled.
Diagnostic logs and analytics metrics are retained by third-party infrastructure in accordance with standard retention schedules.
Hidden Devices Detector is not directed toward or intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly gather personal information from minors. If you discover that a child has submitted personal details through the App, please contact us for immediate data removal.
Your information may be processed on servers situated outside your country of residence where our service providers host infrastructure. Data handling practices across these servers adhere to standard security measures and the framework of this Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be published directly on this page with a revised effective date. Users are advised to review this document regularly.
