Frederick's Speech

Following is the speech of our Founder and Executive Director, Frederick Anderson, as presented during our Pre-Launch Event on Saturday, 14 Jul 2018.

It has been said that there are least two important days in a person's life:

· Date of birth

· Date when purpose has been discovered

Well, a day like this can be added to that list as it marks an important milestone in the body of Christ and particularly in our lives.

The Leadership Team (Ambassadors) and I have looked forward to this moment with great expectation…an exciting yet humbling moment where together we bring forth something which will play its part in advancing the business of our Father's Kingdom.

The more I reflected on all that has led to this occasion, I could not help but to think of Moses and Joshua and how they led Israel from Egypt toward the Promised Land, calling the Heavens and Earth to witness the transition into a new era of their lives. So, it is now, that the Heavens and Earth look upon us as we make our declarations this day, thousands of years later.

While the times have changed in some sense (i.e. we're not running from Egypt, there's no Red Sea to cross, nor is there a 40-year journey of punishment ahead of us), spiritually, however, Egypt-like situations still exist in our day and age.

Just about everywhere we turn, we see people stranded between the mountains of confusion and deception. Friends, family and people we have yet to meet are seeking an escape from the hot pursuit of life's challenges and are at times overwhelmed by the turbulent waters of society's "Red Seas."

Perhaps this was the exact image in Jesus' mind when we find Him in Matthew 9:35-36 (NLT):

"Jesus traveled through all the cities and villages of that area, TEACHING in the synagogues and ANNOUNCING the Good News about the Kingdom. And wherever he went, he healed people of every sort of disease and illness. He felt great pity for the crowds that came, because their problems were so great and they didn't know where to go for help. They were like sheep without a shepherd."

But, I'm thankful that the Scripture does not stop at verse 36, for Matthew continues:

"He said to his disciples, "The harvest is so great, but the workers are so few. So, pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest: ask him to send out more workers for his fields.

[Chapter 10:1] Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and GAVE THEM AUTHORITY to cast out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and illness."

Let me ask you this question…How many of you consider yourself a disciple of Jesus today?

If in fact you do, that responsibility that Jesus gave to His disciples was not left only to the twelve or to those who followed Jesus back in the day. Those words hold us just as responsible and accountable today; and the Heavens and Earth are waiting for us to do our part, not only to pray, but to also use the authority Jesus has given us to announce this Good News about the Kingdom!

The Scripture does remind us in Romans 8:19 "…the earnest expectation of creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God."

I particularly like how Luke shared this "harvest" account in Luke 10:1-3. Luke conveys two words that should immediately grab our attention every time we come across this sacred passage.

Yet, it is perhaps the two most powerful words many of us have been missing all along. Two words which captures the importance and urgency of the times. Two words, if understood, which can undoubtedly improve the ratio of the laborers to the "harvest," the people in need.

Here's what Luke said…

Luke 10:1-3 (NLT) The Lord now chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them ahead in pairs to all the towns and places he planned to visit. These were his instructions to them: "The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So, pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. Now go, and remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves.

Did you catch the two words?

I personally believe the two most powerful words in this passage is "Now go" or "GO NOW!"

Much of my time is spent with the New Living Translation (NLT) of the Bible and while other translations have the word "Go," it's this "Go Now" in the NLT I believe we need to understand for our present times.

In other words, Jesus was saying…

· Yes, pray to the Lord of the harvest and Do something! "Go now!"

· You've been called. Answer the call and "Go now."

· You've been given the authority. "Go now" and conduct the business of the Kingdom.

· People are troubled by evil spirits, are diseased and ill. They need deliverance and healing, not tomorrow, not next month, not next year, but NOW!

Have you ever considered that you may be the very answer to someone’s prayer?

It was John Wesley who once said, “…[we] have one business on earth – to save souls.”

While we by ourselves cannot save anyone, I agree wholeheartedly with Mr. Wesley’s intended message.

Notice Jesus did not only say that the people's problem was so great, He also said they did not know where to go for help.

My dear friends, let me ask you yet another question or so: Do people today know where to go for help? And if you say they do, what percentage turn to the churches within their communities? And of that percentage, are they more likely to encounter a "good" church, one in which they will find "trustworthy leadership"?

In many cases, Yes, there are numerous "good" churches and incredible leadership available. I've come across several in my journey and many of you are here today!

Unfortunately, perhaps like you, I've also come across my share of "wolves"…so call Christians who abuse, mismanage and purposely seek to deceive the sheep in their care. And we know the old saying is true: “one bad apple, spoils the whole bunch.”

With social media and modern technology, we see evidence of this more often now then we care of admit. We repost, tag friends, comment and even complain at times. But, what have we done to correct these deceptions? What have we done to "be the light" in dark places?

I don't know about you, but I'm tired complaining…it's about time I do something! It’s about time, we do something.

My Grandmother had a phrase she would say in times like these. With her finger lifted to her nose, she would simply say "I've had it up to here!"

Well, "I've had it up to here!"

On a brighter side and as crazy as it may seem, the Lord's method to resolve this problem is to still use people to reach people.

In His awesome and perfect wisdom, the Lord established a master plan to use those who were once in "Egypt," to deliver people from "Egypt."

He gave authority to those who have been healed to bring healing…to those who have been delivered from bondage to free others…to those who were once blind, to give sight…and to those who were once lost, to help find others.

It almost like Jesus is calling us to be His Ambassadors…the very ones responsible for representing the Kingdom wherever we may be. In fact, that's EXACTLY who we are, AMBASSADORS!!!

Listen to Paul's second message to the Corinthians (2 Corinthians 5:16-21 NLT, summarizing)

"So we have stopped evaluating others by what the world thinks about them…What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun! All this newness of life is from God…And God has given us the task of reconciling people to him…no longer counting people's sins against them. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others. WE ARE CHRIST'S AMBASSADORS and God is using us to speak…to urge…to plead…"BE RECONCILED!" For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ."

It is with this same mindset and passion that Destiny Heights School of Ministry (DHSM) has been established, with a particular focus on training individuals to become “Ambassadors for Christ” globally, basically "Helping them discover their God given destiny and, in the process, developing them to become significant and impactful members of their community, local church and nation.”

With so many people desperately searching for answers and hanging on to their last hope in such troubling times, we at Destiny Heights School of Ministry know that we have our work cut out for us. Jesus did say “the harvest is plenty” and we are so humbled and appreciative to be able to join Him in preparing and sending more suitable, humbled, loving, committed, Jesus-focused, Spirit-led workers into our communities…into the world. (Ambassadors with integrity).

If it takes a village to raise one child, imagine the size of the army and the number of Kingdom Ambassadors required to share Jesus among billions worldwide.

No war was ever won by one person!

Even to come this far in establishing Destiny Heights School of Ministry, it has taken a team of like-minded individuals (despite diverse backgrounds, denominations, experiences and age). Transitioning this vision from idea to reality could not have been possible without the faith, hard work and commitment of the following individuals:

· Ambassador Leon Avery III

· Ambassador Tina-Marie Coley

· Ambassador Kevin Dancy

· Ambassador, Dr. Anthony Maina

· Ambassador Arthur McNelley

· Ambassador Steve Peters

· Ambassador Albert Schmucker

· Ambassador Emmanuel Toquee

· Ambassador Irene Doherty-Anderson

· Ambassador James Niwinsky

· Ambassador Latisha Faulk

Next (and as I wrap up), I want to give you five (5) key thoughts and motivations I hope will provide a greater understanding that our Father is still in the business of reconciliation (loving people and bringing all who will, back to Himself) and that you and I have a part to play, regardless of where you are.

Considering we’re in “launch-mood,” count with me as I share these five life-changing thoughts:

#5 - TIME IS OF ESSENSE

· Hebrews 10:37 (KJV) For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

· In the book of Revelation, the Apostle John reminds us of a few essential thoughts of the times:

o Revelation 1:4 “…Grace and peace from the One who is, who always was and who is still to come…”

o Revelation 1:7 “Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him…”

o Revelation 22:20 “He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!

While we’re still here, let’s prepare ourselves and identify upcoming leaders (in every industry…from Plumbers to Pastors, from Janitors to Judges, from Health Care Workers to Heads of Governments) and develop them into Ambassadors for Christ.

#4 - UNITY IN THE BODY IS PARAMOUNT

· "Team work, makes the dream work"

· "A house divided against itself, cannot stand"

Destiny Heights School of Ministry is established to work not just with people individually, but also to work hand in hand with local churches, organizations, businesses, schools, hospitals, governments, etc. within our communities to effectively advance the work of OUR FATHER.

We are a SCHOOL…we’re not looking to take anybody's members, but rather would like to further empower people, ensuring that they are better trained and ready to serve in the areas available to them RIGHT WHERE THEY ARE!

Remember, none of us can do this alone and we believe the Lord has sent us to help!

The great Henry Ford once said, “Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.”

But the One who is greater than Mr. Ford puts it this way…”By this shall ALL MEN know that you are my disciples, if you have LOVE for one another!”

#3 – INTEGRITY IS NECESSARY

We represent Christ (when we do good AND when we do bad).

I know we're not perfect, hence the need for humility.

PLEASE, let's not push away the very ones we've been called to help rescue and care for.

For this reason, our curriculum starts with a course on Ministerial Ethics and the same shall be woven and integrated into everything we do!

We are Ambassadors for Christ!

#2 THINK BIG PICTURE

It’s NOT about us (we work locally, to effect global change for the Kingdom).

Think of it this way:

· If Adam would have known that one small decision would affect EVERYONE, would he have disobeyed?

The point is, everything is connected. And while we may not know or see or understand it now, what we do in our homes, ministries, businesses, and other areas of influence affects somebody miles away and generations to come.

Jesus understood and exemplified this, hence the Scripture says from “One Man’s obedience, many will be made righteous…(Rom 5:19).”

Another aspect of “Big Picture Thinking” is to promote the fact that we’re not preachers/pastors ONLY of the Gospel, we’re also Kingdom-preneurs.

· This is our Father’s business

· We have and promote a valuable and life-changing service

· We influence lives and manage people in the process. One of my mentors and the one who introduced me this concept (Dr. Breakthrough) puts it this way…” I save souls for a living and do business to pay expenses!”

Oh, how I love the way Jesus Himself says it in Luke 19:13 “…DO BUSINESS UNTIL I COME!..” (NKJV)

While staying true to our values, we must be mindful to manage well IF we plan on remaining relevant in a changing world. Let’s turn the tides and ensure our Father gets a return on His investment!

In my own life, there is a long list of people I'm so thankful for, as they were and are instrumental in helping to bring me this far. We'll be here for years if I were to name everyone!

Today, however, I want to pause to say THANK YOU to a few:

· Thanks to Pastors Paul and Tanya Berry for the trust and belief in this vision. I appreciate the Destiny Heights partnership and look forward to the great work ahead.

· Pastor Maima Moore for her leadership in the Bethel School of Ministry and being present for the Lord to speak through her and bring this Destiny Heights School of Ministry into existence!

· Thanks to Sis. Gwen Mensah for her patience in dealing with me, my crazy schedule and occasional tardiness during that time.

· Special Thanks and Appreciation to Pastor Arthur Beckley!

In closing and my final point, #1 is meant to yet again serve notice to all of us - sons and daughters of the Most High of this identity we have in the Kingdom; and that is AmbassadorsWE ARE ALL SENT!

· Share story about the man formerly known as Legion and how he became an Ambassador for Christ.
