Gas grills were involved in an average of 9,287 home fires per year, including 4,682 structure fires and 4,605 outdoor fires annually

The significance

Grilling-related fires are most common in July and are often caused by mechanical failures, unattended grills, or proximity to combustible materials.

Inspired by Jeep

Many overlanding enthusiasts are inspired by Jeep products. Instead, they favor vehicles that show their identity and express their enthusiasm for the brand.

Functionality First

Ideation for Grille consisted of sketching iterations of mechanism to express the brand.

Once functionality was perfected, the grill was sculpted and refined into it's characteristic appearance.

Process

Countless prototypes and sketches iterations were created in order to arrive at an optimized design that mimics the range of motion of Jeep. Every mechanism sketch was modeled and prototyped to evaluation function and size.
