1. Data Collection & Usage
Depth Shift uses your device’s camera and microphone to record video when you choose to do so. These recordings are saved directly to your Photos app at your request.
The app also uses Apple’s Vision Framework to temporarily analyze your face in real time to compute the distance between your eyes. This allows the app to estimate how close you are to the camera, helping align the dolly zoom effect. This facial data is processed entirely on-device, is not stored, and is immediately discarded after processing. No facial images, landmarks, or biometric data are saved.
2. Data Sharing
The app does not share, sell, or transmit any personal data, including facial data, to third parties. No cloud services are used—all processing happens locally on your device.
3. Data Retention & Deletion
Facial data used for proximity estimation is not retained. It is processed in real time and discarded immediately. Video and audio you choose to record are saved only to your Photos app and are not stored by the app itself.
4. User Rights
You maintain full control over your data. Since facial data is not stored and recordings are saved to your device’s Photos app, you can delete content at any time.
5. Security
Depth Shift does not store or transmit personal data. All facial analysis and video/audio processing occur entirely on your device, ensuring strong privacy and minimal risk.
6. Cookies & Tracking
The app does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking technologies of any kind.
