Depthly is a wallpaper app. Its work happens on your phone, and so does all of its processing.
Depthly has no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers of its own. Your photos are processed on your device and are never uploaded. The only network activity is between your phone and Google Play: checking whether you bought the unlock, and downloading an optional cutout model if you ask for it.
Photos are chosen through Android's Photo Picker, which hands over only the images you select. Depthly never sees your photo library and holds no storage or media permission.
Cutting the subject out of a photo runs entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded, never leave your device, and are never used to train anything.
The photo you pick and the cutout made from it are stored in Depthly's private storage on your device. They are removed when you delete the design or uninstall the app.
These images are excluded from Android's cloud backup and device-transfer, so they are not copied to your Google account either.
Your designs and saved presets: layout, colors, typography, and references to the images above.
Your settings: appearance, clock format, system-color mode, and chosen cutout model.
Whether you have bought the unlock. This is a single yes/no flag mirroring what Google Play reports. It holds no payment details and is not backed up.
Uninstalling the app removes all of it. "Clear storage" in Android's app settings does the same without uninstalling.
Depthly has no server. It talks only to Google Play, through Google's own libraries:
Google Play Billing — to offer the one-time unlock and to check whether your Google account already owns it. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. Depthly never sees or stores your card, address, or billing identity.
Google Play Asset Delivery — only if you choose the optional BiRefNet cutout model in Settings, which is downloaded on request.
Google Play services (ML Kit) — only if you choose the ML Kit cutout model, which Play services provides and runs on your device.
Google's handling of these is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Depthly requests no runtime permissions: no camera, no location, no contacts, no storage or media access. Picking photos and saving files use system dialogs that need no permission grants.
Three permissions are declared in the app's manifest, all required by the Google Play libraries above and granted automatically without a prompt:
INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to reach Google Play for the purchase check and any optional model download.
com.android.vending.BILLING — to offer the in-app purchase.
Depthly can report a color palette to Android so your system theme matches your wallpaper (Material You). This exchange happens inside your device's operating system and goes nowhere else. Turn it off with Settings → System color → Off.
Saving a preset to a file writes a .depthly bundle wherever you choose. That bundle contains the design's images, including the photo and its cutout, along with any font you imported, so the design can be reproduced exactly on another phone. It contains no personal or account information. Creating and sending that file is your action, through the apps you pick.
Depthly is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
If a future version changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that version ships.
