When will my policy be effective?
Your effective date is the 1st of the following month, when you enroll in the dental plan between the 1st and 25th of the current month. Enrollment between 26th and the end of the current month, will make your effective date the 1st of the next month thereafter.

What is your refund policy?
You can receive a full refund of the premium paid anytime within the first thirty days of your enrollment date, provided that no insurance claims of any kind have been submitted.

Member ID cards are generally shipped within 2-3 business days after your enrollment has been processed. Actual receipt of your id cards may vary, as all id cards are sent via USPS first class mail.

Who much does dental insurance cost in Illinois? We examined the premiums for more than two dozen plans quoted for a thirty year-old living in Chicago and found the average monthly cost was $41.02. The lowest expense option was a dental discount card, Careington 500 Series Dental Savings, that charged $8.95 a month to access a group of dentists would charged discounted rates for dental care. The most expensive was Nationwide's Classic 2000 + VSP Premium plan which included vision benefits alongside dental coverage. This option had a premium of $90.12 for a 30 year-old in Chicago. This option is an indemnity plan, which tends to have very wide acceptance among dentists.
The majority of the plans examined did not have a copayment of coinsurance fee for an annual cleaning. Fillings were charged a coinsurance fee, with the insurance company covering an average of 66% of the filling cost. Some plans (Nationwide Select Plus 1500 + VSP Standard and the Guardian Direct Advantage Diamond PPO) covered as much as 80% of the cost for the patient.

The Board of Trustees requires all eligible students have health insurance coverage for the duration of their time at the University. UnitedHealthcare Student Resources underwrites the University sponsored plan, which is assessed automatically at the beginning of each semester in which the eligible student has registered for classes.
