Below are shown the international rankings of the government supported research universities of Denmark,[4] and the number of times they rank in the top 200 of one of the six prominent global rankings:

A group of students from The University of Southern Denmark are together with students from several other Danish universities developing two satellites that can contribute to our understanding of the climate changes. Soon, they will send the first satellite into space.

The Danish universities, together with five approved technological service institutes (GTS institutes), have formed the National Defence Technology Centre (NFC). The aim is to strengthen defence technology development through a closer, cross-sectoral collaboration.

The University of Southern Denmark's Gender Equality Team has received a grant of DKK 22 million from the EU for a project to implement equality action plans at SDU and eight other European universities over the next four years.

Driven by intellectual creativity and critical thinking since 1479, researchers and students at the University of Copenhagen have expanded horizons and contributed to moving the world forward. The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) was founded in 1829 by H.C. rsted, the "father of electromagnetism." DTU uses natural and technical sciences to benefit society and continues to be ranked as one of the foremost technical universities in Europe. In 2015, DTU hosted over 10,000 students, including nearly 1,000 exchange students. DTU has international and exchange program agreements with over 200 universities worldwide and prides itself on growth through collaboration with these other universities.

Universities are responsible for the majority of all public research. As key institutions in society, universities must also participate actively in the exchange of knowledge and skills with the wider community.

The agreement increases cost transparency, establishes a clear cost distribution mechanism between foundations and universities, and simplifies and standardizes the application process and the administrative process benefitting universities, researchers, as well as the foundations.

Calculating the costs

The model and the project supplement have been developed through a comprehensive analysis of the costs associated with various types of foundation-funded research projects at universities. Costs were categorized into salaries, operational expenses, and administration, and subsequently proposals for cost distribution were formulated.

As per the agreement, the foundations will cover several of the indirect costs associated with their grants for research at universities. This allows for universities to have increased flexibility to prioritize their research funding, which can, in the long term, enhance the breadth and quality of research at the Danish universities. The universities and the participating foundations have agreed to continue dialogue on how to strengthen the quality and diversity of Danish research following the agreement

DTU's research-based educational programs are of the highest international standard.

The undergraduate engineering exchange program with DTU enables undergraduates from both institutions to take advantage of the unique academic and cultural opportunities offered by Dartmouth College and DTU. More information on courses at DTU can be found on their website. The program generally enrolls students from DTU to spend the fall term at Dartmouth and a like number of Dartmouth students to spend the fall or spring semester at DTU. Spring semester exchange requires the utilization of a leave term for winter or spring.

DTU's fall term runs from early September to late January, but exchange students can choose to end their fall semester in late December, thus skipping the intensive 3-week course in January. DTU's spring term runs from early February to late June, but exchange students can choose to end their spring semester in late May, skipping the intensive 3-week course in June. Dartmouth students participating in the exchange for the DTU spring semester will enroll as exchange students for the Dartmouth winter term and will need to plan to take a leave term for the spring term.

Upon completion of the exchange, the exchange coordinator at the host institution will forward the transcript to the Office of the Registrar, Dartmouth College. Future transcripts of exchange program grades must be obtained by the student from the exchange institution.

DIS is a non-profit study away provider with locations in Copenhagen and Stockholm.
