Develop Dengue Sensor with Dengue Hotspot Monitoring

The objective of this project is to develop a dengue sensor with a fast response and reactive time to be integrated into the dengue monitoring network so that real-time data could be published online.

This project consists of sensor development, chemical testing, and integration of chemical and electronic. Wireless sensor network protocol will channel real-time data to the backend server. The backend support includes database, backend server and responsive html5 programming.

In chemical testing, the solution that was incubated with NS1 antigen showed a color change whereas the solution incubated with P53 antigen did not show any change in color. This clearly showed the specific and efficient targeting of our chemical solution to NS1 antigen; the results are correlated to the NS1 strip.

The test was repeated 5 times with constant response. This was then electronically integrated to become Dengue Sensor. This system combines spectrum analysis and chemical solution.

The communication of this sensor is made available on WIFI, Sub-1GHz, Zigbee, BT and 3G networks depending on the distance and density the sensors are going to be deployed. Dengue Realtime data will be sent to backend via TCP/IP and MQTT protocol.

In conclusion, chemical solution is a high efficiency tool for measuring the dengue NS1 protein. Different assay for multi-analyte analysis is achievable, offering the flexibility to match specific needs. We provide an accurate, efficient and economical alternative to conduct dengue testing. Due to the high flexibility of chemical solution, it allows coupling with a sensor for remote monitoring (surveillance system).
