Welcome!

I'm a forth-year Ph.D. student at the Department of Linguistics, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. My research interests include (morpho)syntax, syntax-semantics interface phenomena, in addition to multi-modal communication and gesture. I also have experience working on the age of acquisition effects on mopho-syntactically complex structures.

For the past few years, I have worked on syntactic phenomena such as reflexives and argument structure, and syntax-semantics interface phenomena such as emphatic markers. I tend to focus on data from Turkish, and Turkish Sign Language (TİD). Currently, I am working on comparing  whether and/or how  the encoding of noun and verb categories emerge across the multi-modal gesture-language continuum with data from gesture, TİD, and Turkish.
