Welcome!

I am a linguist, researcher, and an instructor with a strong interdisciplinary background in syntax, morphology, and sign language studies, currently pursuing my Ph.D. at Department of Linguistics, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. My doctoral work covers theoretical and experimental data analysis using both qualitative and quantitative methods, conducting fieldwork with different populations for data collection, and collaborative projects focused on the multimodality of human language. My current and ongoing research on gesture expands this approach to communication beyond language.

In addition to research, I have taught various topics in linguistics to undergraduate students from different academic backgrounds and designed instructional materials for linguistics and language courses. My experience also includes mentoring and training undergraduate students, supporting language outreach efforts, and contributing to initiatives that document and promote linguistic diversity.

Beyond academia, I’m committed to inclusive research practices and knowledge sharing. I have organized and facilitated conferences and workshops for both academic and non-academic audiences. I prioritize community-driven approaches and aim to ensure that research outcomes are accessible and relevant to the people they represent. My current role at the Rackham Graduate School in collaboration with the U of M Career Center focuses on career development resources for Master's students, allowing me to put my experience and skills in facilitation and student mentoring into practice in both academic and non-academic career development.

With a foundation in both academic research and equitable community outreach practices, I’m passionate about applying linguistic insights to real-world challenges, contributing to inclusive research and teaching practices, and supporting language documentation and accessibility efforts.
