Dell Latitude 3510, with no working audio. Windows 10 Pro, with Webroot AV. Removed and reinstalled the audio drivers and all software associated. No errors detected in device manager (Realtek Audio, Intel Smart Sound Technology, Intel Display audio). Troubleshooter takes me to a screen "The device you are configuring has been removed". Then it says "Audio services not responding". Not fixed. Curious why 2 of the 3 audio components are Intel? If I uninstall the Realtek, it discovers an Intel High Definition Audio... but Windows updates then installs the Realtek driver. This has to be related. We installed one driver from Intel (That mentions Realtek) and during the installation the audio starts to work! But then the driver install fails, and the audio no longer works. The failure is "No supported devices found". So we know 100% the speakers work and it is a driver issue. The client does NOT want Windows 11. We have aggressively tested for malware... Type PuP Optional.Wave (Removed)

have you found a resolution for this issue, we have been having the same issue on a multitude of devices. Dell directed me to this post on Microsoft. However doing all these steps could take time as the issue reoccurs every week or so.

Hey I just posted a possible solution. Check your hardware ids for both realtek devices. In my case they were different hardware ids all together so windows was automatically installing the wrong driver!I didn't see Intel smart audio in the dell drivers so I used iobit driver booster to update all the drivers in the system and everything started working fine afterwards I'm thinking I found the solution.

Having the same exact issue here with 17" dell laptop. This laptop is less than a yr old still under warranty and I don't understand. It installs 2 related and sound stops working, I uninstall both and restart PC. 1 gets installed and everything works fine then couple days later sound stops working again just to see another duplicate realtek. .

So I noticed something interesting. The 2 separate realtek devices had 2 different hardware ID's!!1 was hdaudio (which is realtek)Another was Intel smart audio. I left both devices as is (both as realtek) and decided to use iobit driver booster to update all of the drivers in The system. Well to my surprise, after a restart, the sound started working again and it was only 1 realtek audio device. Time will tell if this was the permanent fix but I have a good feeling about it.

The Realtek equalizer Windows 10 controls the Realtek HD sound. This post from MiniTool Software teaches you how to how to open Realtek equalizer in Windows 10 and adjust Realtek audio equalizer settings, how to fix Realtek equalizer missing or not working issues, etc.

Fix 1. Open Realtek Audio Manager to access Realtek equalizer. You can press Windows + R, type C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\ in Run box, and press Enter. Then double-click RtkNGUI64 file to open Realtek HD Audio Manager. Then you can click Equalizer to choose a preferred equalizer setting for Realtek audio. Here you can also click Change to Graphic EQ icon under EQ to activate Realtek sound card equalizer in Windows 10.

If you are looking for a top third-party sound equalizer for Windows 10, here we list the top 8 free Windows 10 audio equalizers for you. They are Equalizer APO, Realtime Equalizer, Viper4Windows, FXSound, Boom3D, Graphic Equalizer Studio, Breakaway Audio Enhancer, and EqualizerPro.

Windows 7 uses drivers to interface with the equipment installed to the computer. Without a working driver, a device can't receive instructions from the operating system. The Device Manager, accessible from Control Panel, enables users to control the drivers installed to the PC. If the audio output or input on the PC stops working, preventing you from giving a video presentation to potential customers or participating in a conference call with employees, the sound driver could be disabled. Restart the device in the Device Manager to restore function to the sound card.

Another randomly occurring issue, is there is no sound when I start up Windows 10 on my 7010 MT, and use a DisplayPort to HDMI cable to my Samsung LCD TV. When I view the Sound Playback device in Windows 10, I can see the green volume bar fluctuate but there is simply no sound coming out of he TV's loudspeakers. Using different DisplayPort or HDMI port, completely different DP-to-HDMI cable made no difference. Downgrading the BIOS from A25 to A20 did not fix the issue. Power cycling the TV made no difference. It could be another specific 'compatibility' issue with my Samsung LCD TV. However, if I unplug and reinsert the DP-HDMI cable into the TV, or reboot the PC, the sound is restored.
