DEHS Post Prom is a free, community-powered celebration created to give our seniors a fun, safe, and memorable way to continue the excitement of prom night. Organized by the Downingtown East Home & School Association with the support of families, volunteers, local businesses, and community partners, Post Prom is open to all seniors and their invited guests, whether or not they attend prom. It is designed to be inclusive, welcoming, and full of energy.
Together, we create a one-of-a-kind experience filled with entertainment, food, prizes, and lasting memories. More than just a party, Post Prom is a tradition that reflects how deeply our community cares about supporting and celebrating the Class of 2026.
Post Prom 2026 will take seniors on a journey from Philly to the Jersey Shore, with a special stop down memory lane along the way. While we want to keep some surprises in store, the school will be transformed into an immersive celebration space filled with creativity, energy, and school spirit.
Many of the decorations are being handmade or upcycled from community donations, with students, parents, staff, and volunteers all helping bring the theme to life. We are working hard to create a night with something for everyone! Activities include inflatable bounces, mini golf, card games, karaoke, basketball, giant volleyball, and MORE — along with favorite foods, chill areas, a “puppy room,” music, and entertainment.
Students will enjoy a wide variety of games throughout the night, with many chances to win prizes along the way, and every senior who stays until the end will also go home with a raffle prize of their own.
Post Prom is our community’s way of celebrating the Class of 2026 with a night that is fun, welcoming, and unforgettable.
Parents, students, alumni, local businesses, and friends of DEHS all play a part in making this celebration possible. Whether you can give time, donate materials, or contribute food, prizes, or funding, every bit truly makes a difference.
Donate Philly & DASD Items (Upcycle Drive)
We are collecting used Philly-themed items, DASD spirit wear, and other materials we can upcycle into décor.
Make Decorations
Join a work session to help paint, assemble props, and create decorations. Many projects are simple, social, and do not require special artistic talent.
Section Set Up Helpers
The planning is done and the vision is in place, but we need non-senior parents to help bring it all together. You can help individually or with family or friends by taking on part of a hallway or themed section. This is our most urgent volunteer need and allows senior parents to enjoy those special pre-prom moments with their families. Volunteers are needed to attend meetings in April, get familiar with an area, and then help set it up on Friday, May 15 at 5:00 PM. Underclassmen parents, please consider helping as a way to support the senior class and their families. We need you.
Donate Food, Prizes, or Sponsorship Support
Donations of food, raffle prizes, gift cards, "senior swag" and financial support help create the excitement, energy, and memorable giveaways that make Post Prom so special and encourage our seniors to celebrate in a safe environment. Stay tuned for food and prize sign ups - and/ or make a donation now: Support Post Prom 2026
Event Help
We will need parent volunteers to help support activities and keep the celebration running smoothly throughout the night. Event night sign up coming soon!
