Microsoft does not want Defender to be turned off completely. Therefore, when defender is turned off, windows update or windows component is trying to repair Defender and as a result Defender may become corrupt. Of course a malicious program may also corrupt Defender completely. (If there is no different security software in windows, when Defender is turned off)

Microsoft is constantly taking new measures because it does not want Defender to be turned off. There is a possibility that Windows Defender may be corrupted among these measures. Therefore We will no longer update this program

TL;DR: It's an app to turn on and off Windows Defender. I am hoping to alternatives such as creating a bat process, as long as I get instructions. I want to have defender on when I am not concerned about performance (the app is not linked because of rule 3) Edit: Because of research, I think it can be trusted, but I want to know what other people think by tomorrow

It seems to be like an app that can turn on and off windows defender easily, not exactly what I was looking for. I was looking into a way where I can just an .bat program that can do all of the disabling, but I am just not that experienced with it and I don't know what each process is, or worse, I don't know how to make registry changes through cmd

I want to enable windows defender when I am not recording or streaming games, and when games are not running slow. And I want to easily and quickly turn it off. Defender control seems like an option, I could try it, but I am struggling to find people giving their thoughts outside of the site that it's hosted. I am going to try to do more research while I wait for replies on this post, thank you in advance (and I am open to alternatives, even if they require hard work, just, give me a lead as to what things I should know. I had only made a bat for youtube-dl that you can find here and had also made it so my other computer starts my minecraft server and does maintenance on it's own by just turning it on)

Currently, this tutorial may match what I did to disable windows defender: -permanently-disable-windows-defender-windows-10#disable-windows-defender-with-registry just skip group policy because I don't have premium

A couple months ago, I downloaded Sordum's Defender Control from majorgeeks website. When I ran the application, Kaspersky flagged it as malicious and ran an advanced disinfection. Am I safe? Is it only considered malicious because it can control Defender?

Application Control lets you strongly control what can run on devices you manage. This feature can be useful for devices in high-security departments, where it's vital that unwanted software can't run.

Microsoft stopped allowing you to disable or uninstall Windows Defender quite a while back and thus it can cause some issues with other software in certain circumstances. With Defender Control, you can easily and quickly completely disable Windows Defender with a click. All that's required is to run the application and access it from the system tray.Opening the program gives you a couple of options. Enable or disable Windows Defender. It also gives you quick access to a few other Windows functions like opening the security center, change defender settings and change the language.Apart from that, this utility is perfect for being able to disable Microsoft's built-in antivirus software in any case that it's required.Thumbs up!Compatibility and LicenseDefender Control is provided under a freeware license on Windows from antivirus with no restrictions on usage. Download and installation of this PC software is free and 2.1 is the latest version last time we checked.

I'm working on this for a friend who really likes Defender. It will be a desktop controller, except that it will only be useful for Defender and Stargate. It sports a Lexan (plexiglass) cover and T-Molding around the outer border. The control panel uses a keyboard hack from a blue Hot Wheels USB keyboard. I gathered a couple of low-ish resolution images of Defender control panels from the internet and put some pieces together to make it look ok with the extra buttons (the Stargate 'Inviso' button and the '25 cents' button). I printed it out on ordinary paper and put it under the lexan.

- I have read that USB keyboards are a bad choice for doing a keyboard hack because they are limited to 6 keys being pressed at one time (and the Operating System enforces it because it's a part of the USB standard, I believe). Generally it will be possible to use more inputs with a ps/2 keyboard. However, with this control panel 6 simultaneous button pressed should be enough.

- I initially used an AutoCAD program to give the control panel the exact dimensions of the arcade version. However, I ended up straying from them a little when I made the overlay. The right-hand button cluster should use the correct dimensions. However, it's position in relation to the joystick is not quite correct, and the overall width of the panel is totally arbitrary (so it is not likely to fit in an original arcade machine).

I have everything configured using the custom schema at mdatp-xplat/schema.json at masterĀ  microsoft/mdatp-xplat (github.com) , which is linked from Microsoft's documentation. I have played around with trying to get JSON into the line for device control and had no luck.

I do have that baked in. It is using Microsoft's Schema, the section for Device Control requires a JSON string. I think my JSON is wrong since further troubleshooting with mdatp device-control policy rules list is showing as empty.

I've decided against DLP in the past, but it seems you're right - the policy JSON in turn needs another JSON string defining device control. You'd pretty much need a schema interpreter within the schema json for MDATP.

I have managed to get it working with only the most minor tinkering of their JSON examples. Any time I tried to get it more to exactly what I would need, it would not deploy as a device control policy to the endpoint. However, as I need to potentially white list devices, I definitely will be needing to modifying significantly more so maybe I'll go back to trying to implement their schema, as I had tried that particular schema in tandem with their broader schema previously, without success. Maybe a change I had made in another spot ultimately became what got things working. Thanks for reminding me of that separate schema.

Defender has six different controls: an altitude (up-down) lever, reverse button, hyperspace, smart bomb button, thrust control, and fire button. The layout of these controls is pictured on the next page.

Understanding the effect of all of these controls is the first challenge in learning to play Defender. Because Defender has more controls than most video games, it is very important that their position and function be memorized. The player who has to look at the controls while playing will not be able to react quickly enough to keep up with the game as it progresses.

Now we come to the three controls on the right side of the playing surface. The first one of these is the smart bomb. When this button is depressed, all opponents on the main screen are destroyed. Their bullets or mines, however, are not destroyed. If an opponent has fired at you, and you destroy him with a smart bomb, your ship can still be destroyed by his bullet, so get out of the way.

Your right hand should be positioned with your thumb over the smart bomb, index finger on the thrust control, and middle or ring finger on the fire button. I prefer to use my ring finger for firing because it is more independent of the motion of the index finger. This independence not only provides better control, but gives your fingers more endurance in longer games because the adjacent muscles of the first and second finger are not working against one another.

You can add Rhino as an allowed program through the Windows Defender control panel under Virus & Threat protection settings. Click on the Allow an app through Controlled folder acces and add Rhino (and any other program you want to save your work with). You can also review the Protected folders section - add and delete folders you think that should be and should not be controlled.

Unfortunately, Microsoft does not provide an easy way to disable or enable Windows Defender completely. You can only turn off its real-time protection for a while, but it will turn back on automatically after some time. This can be annoying and frustrating for some users who want to have full control over their system security.
