I joined Meta (formerly known as Facebook) as a research scientist in December 2022. Before joining Meta, I was a post doctoral scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from April 2018 to Oct. 2022 with Prof. Suhas Diggavi, and a post doctoral fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) from Sep. 2017 to Feb. 2018 with Prof. Manoj M. Prabhakaran

Education: My formal education has been in computer science.

During my Ph.D., I visited Prof. Alon Rosen and Prof. Elette Boyle at the Fact Center in IDC Herzliya, Israel, from Nov. 2015 to May 2016, working on Secure Multiparty Computation.

Research Interests: At Meta, I have been working on (Empirical) Differential Privacy. In my post-doc, my research focus was in Federated Learning, specifically, the communication efficiency, (differential) privacy, personalization, and robustness (to malicious/Byzantine clients) aspects of it. In my Ph.D., I worked on problems in Information Theory and Cryptography, particularly in Secure Multi-party Computation (MPC). I continue to maintain interest in all the above-mentioned areas.
